The Cala Lily: Luxury Waterfront On The Neuse

Exhale–you’ve arrived at peace along the Neuse! Watch dolphins fish and frolic; take a dip in the pool (generally between Memorial Day and Labor Day); or just relax and “boat watch.” China Grove is the perfect place to establish a zen atmosphere and hit the “reset” button on life. A historic, picturesque plantation home graces the foreground, and the river is just a short distance from the cottage. The pier is fabulous, and the pool is open!

There is an outside shower for before or after your pool or river time. The house has an upstairs master suite with king size bed, window bench seat, and ensuite full bath. The downstairs has a queen bed and ensuite full bath, as well as a half bath in the hall.

The bunkhouse has a futon (best for 1 person only), mini-fridge, and climate control. It does not have its own bathroom, but the 1/2 bath in the cottage is only about 20 steps away.

You’ll have access to the entire home plus bunkhouse. The bunkhouse has a futon and a small refrigerator. The guesthouse is separated from the house but is within a few feet of the backdoor of the main house.

Pool is generally open from Memorial Day to Labor Day (actual open/close dates may vary).
We have given the wonderful cleaning ladies the CDC cleaning guidelines to follow, and we are leaving gaps between stays for summer. Please check governor.nc.gov a few days prior to your departure for the most updated information and FAQs on his current executive orders, and feel free to call us if you have any questions. As of this writing (6/27/20), you will need to bring cloth masks for going into most establishments and when you can’t socially distance.

China Grove is a lovely cottage community with shared space in the large yard in front of the cottages. Please share with the other families preset, and enjoy! Trash should be placed in a regular-sized trash bag only and placed in the cute little trash building to the left of the drive as you come in (look for the one marked 34). We also respectfully request our guests refrain from having parties/loud gatherings so as to preserve peaceful enjoyment for all. Many thanks!
